 | Fertility problems are common in Nigeria, up to 1 in 4 couples will experience delay in achieving pregnancy. Although some patients will fall pregnant by themselves with standard gynaecological treatment, up to 60% will require assisted conception techniques like in vitro fertilisation (IVF) or Intra-Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) to achieve pregnancy. This is particularly true for couples that have been trying to conceive in excess of 3 years.
