LASER ASSISTED HATCHING (LAH)
IVF technology today is still not perfect. Only one of ten embryos we transfer in the uterus implants successfully in the endometrium to become a baby. This is because the surrounding shell of the egg (called the zona pellucida) hardens when it is cultured in the laboratory. LAH is the softening of the eggshell by effectively creating an opening with the use of a laser.
BLASTOCYST STAGE TRANSFER
Blastocyst culture and transfer procedure for in vitro fertilization facilitates selection of the best quality embryos for transfer to the uterus of the mother.
This facilitates the transfer of fewer embryos - reducing risks for multiple pregnancies - while keeping overall pregnancy rates high.
IN VITRO MATURATION (IVM)
This is an innovative Assisted Reproduction Technology (ART) applicable for selected couples with male factor, tubal factor, unexplained infertility and PCO/PCOS. Immature Germinal Vesicle (GV) stage oocytes are retrieved during the woman's natural cycle without any or minimal preceding hormone treatment. Oocytes maturation to Metaphase II stage oocytes takes place in vitro using the special VM System. Standard ICSI or IVF protocols are used after maturation has been obtained or after subsequent insemination and fertilization.
SPERM STORAGE
This service is available to men who may need to undergo surgery, radiotherapy, or chemotherapy. The frozen sperm will be used for IVF/ICSI treatment at a later date.
DONOR SPERM SERVICES
The Bridge clinic has a sperm bank of quarantined infection free donors. This is available to other medical Doctors who wish to carry out fertility treatment on their clients whose partners are azoospermic. This off course has to be with the couple's consent.
FAMILY BALANCING

GYNAECOLOGICAL SURGERY
The Bridge Clinic does not have operating facilities but we have strong relationships with experienced professionals both locally and internationally for those that do not want to have operations in Nigeria. Specifically we have relationship with a company that is able to facilitate the access to care in Cape Town South Africa and over the years we have sent over 200 women for operations such as fibroid operations to Thinus Kruger's team at the Vincent Palloti hospital in Cape Town.
