Importance of QMS to TBC

One of the basic importance of adopting the ISO 9001:2000 standards at The Bridge Clinic is to assure the customer of a quality service which is comparable to any other standard facility in the world. Moreover, the standard was adopted in order to continuously improve on the organisational process with the view to meeting and exceeding customers' needs and expectations. Another objective is to reduce errors or defects as much as possible with the view to improving clients' retention rate and largely to improve the organisation's turnover (profit).

Other Importance includes:
  • There is a Quality Control process observed in the ivf laboratory which details the guidelines that must be observed at the start of the procedure, in between the procedures and after the procedures. This process of "start right, keep right and finish right" has helped to improve the pregnancy rate of The Bridge Clinic over the years.
  • There is also a witnessing programme to prevent the issue of gamete mix up.
  • Information regarding the treatment is presented to the clients in a clear and concise manner to help them make an informed decision regarding their treatment option.
  • Consents are also obtained from the clients prior to treatment. This is a document that serves as an instruction from the client that the clinic can carry out the treatment on them.
  • An independent counseling system is also in place to help client in the management of their emotions throughout the period of treatment.
  • Where there are incidences in the handling and manipulation of clients' gametes, there is a documented procedure for managing it with corrective and preventive actions to forestall further occurrence.
