Following treatment at The Bridge Clinic from 1999 to date we have recorded over 1000 pregnancies. As of January 2009, we have recorded the birth of 923 babies following treatment with In Vitro Fertilisation, 798 babies from the Lagos clinic and 125 babies from the Port Harcourt clinic.
Infertility is a major public health issue in Nigeria and it is estimated that approximately 1 out of every 4 couples will experience some difficulty in achieving a pregnancy. Since the introduction of In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) in 1978, IVF has evolved to become the cornerstone of fertility treatment all over the world and most couples experiencing delay with conception will require IVF (and Intra-cytoplasmic Sperm Injection) (ICSI) to achieve pregnancy.
The Bridge Clinic was set up to provide high quality fertility treatment including IVF (and ICSI) in Nigeria. Our Lagos clinic began operations in 1999 and our Port Harcourt Clinic in 2003.
From 1999 to date, assisted conception services have been consistently delivered to couples who desire children using our knowledge of the science of reproduction. We have also consistently delivered good pregnancy rates that that has led to the birth of 923 babies, as at January 2009, following treatment at The Bridge Clinic.
The Lagos clinic has birthed 798babies while the Port Harcourt clinic has 125 babies following treatment. |
